By the time this posts, we’ll be in America and to say that I am excited is a complete understatement. More importantly, the fact that thanks to you all, HJ Underway is a finalist (FINALIST) for the 2012 BlogLuxe Smile Awards. I’m in the running with 19 other amazing blogs, some of which I have been following religiously for years. I am so thankful to you all for taking the time to vote, thank you thank you!
July marked the first month that I “swapped” buttons with another blogger, and I was so happy to do so with Christina from Sweet Lavender Bake Shoppe! I stumbled across her blog a while back and enjoy her delicious recipes, her DIY tutorials, and her fun stories about her life with her cats and husband. Without further adieu, Christina!
I’ve always been in love with anything and everything involving food since I was a little girl. From watching Food Network everyday after school (what 12-year-old does that??) to sneaking raw eggs into my room so I could try to whip egg whites like they did on t.v., I couldn’t get enough.
So naturally, after a few years of college I enrolled and then graduated from the California School of Culinary Arts, back in 2005 with a Le Cordon Bleu degree. I have since acquired an even more extreme obsession with desserts, especially cupcakes!
That’s exactly what inspired this blog. I wanted a place to be able to come (even if virtually) and sit and chat with you all (my friends) about life, faith, hobbies, loves, and of course DESSERT! So grab a cup of tea and a sunny spot in the room, and let’s have a chat.
