Capturing memories is important to me, hence one of the reasons I started this blog in the first place. Along the way came Facebook pages and Twitter, then to make it even more fun, Instagram came into our lives. Through these social platforms, I “friended” a woman named Sarah Gardan, a photographer and former Parisian expat.
And then while at a fellow expat’s home, I saw these stunning pictures of her daughter and it was all like, “WHO TOOK THOSE!?!” And of course it was Sarah. Sarah makes the trek from Australia to Paris several times a year to photograph children, couples, and families at their favorite Parisian location. This morning we did ours…. our first professional family photo session since HJ was 1 month old.
It was a great experience, and I cannot wait to see the pictures. HJ was a bit on the wild side when we started so he burned out fast but Sarah stayed with him, capturing photo after photo. I captured Sarah capturing Papa and HJ….
We walked around the “Big Tower” as HJ calls it for over an hour, posing and sharing stories. If you are ever in the need for a Parisian photographer, be sure to check out Sarah’s work, she is amazing!

awww. What a great souvenir from your first year in France. It’s so easy to take pictures now they seem to get lost in a folder, but with professional pictures, you get something really special.
